Therefore, soil samples were <br /> not collected and the excavation work was postponed. A groundwater sample was collected <br /> from the water in the excavation and submitted for chemical analysis. Analytical results for <br /> this groundwater sample are summarized in Table 3 above. <br /> ' On August 29, 1995 additional excavation work was conducted. During this work soil <br /> samples were collected from the walls of the excavation just above the groundwater surface <br /> (approximately 14 feet BSG). The analytical results of these soil samples are summarized <br /> in Table 4. Drawing 3 shows the approximate soil sample locations. <br /> i <br />
