U
CHRONOLOGY
Wilbur-Ellis I H & H Engineering and Construction Facility
212 Industrial Drive
Stockton, CA 95206
f 01/06/98 Date that San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD)
received a workplan for additional subsurface investigation of a 1,000
gallon underground storage tank (UST) and associated piping that were
reportedly removed from this site (without EHD pen-nit and inspection).
Reportedly a soil sample was collected at approximately seven feet below
ground surface (bgs) under the piping and had concentrations for total
.petroleum hydrocarbons at 7.2 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg).
01/14/98 Soil boring performed this date.
02/02/98 Four probes were advanced this date.
02/16/98 Date of Subsurface Investigation that discussed the results from advancing
borehole B1 to a total depth of 20 feet on 01/14/98, and advancing four
additional boreholes (P1, P2, P3, and P4) ranging from 20 to 40 feet bgs
on 02/02/98. ;
03/13/98 Date of Groundwater Sampling that discussed the results from advancing
soil boring P5-W to total depth of 50 feet bgs on 03/06/98.
04/03/98 EHD filed Notification of Hazardous Waste Discharge and UST
Unauthorized Release Contamination Site Report on this date.
08/28/98 Date of Additional Subsurface Soil and Groundwater Assessment Phase I-
August 1998 that; discussed advancing two borings (B2 and B3) to
approximately 60: feet bgs and four borings (B4 through B7) to
approximately 40 feet bgs.
09/23-24/98 Monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 were installed.
10/28/98 Date -ofWell Survey Report. Six wells were located within a 2000-foot
radius of the former UST site. Groundwater flow direction was generally
to the northeast. Irrigation and municipal wells were located within 2000
feet of the source area at the Valley Tomato Products Company located
east/northeast of the UST site. One well of unknown type was located at ;
the Stockton Livestock Exchange within 2000 feet to the southwest of the
source area. Three other wells were located approximately 1000 feet to
the southwest and northwest of the source area.
}
11/17/98 Date of Additional.Subsurface Soil and Groundwater Assessment —Phase
II — September 1998 that discussed findings from the installation of
monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-3 on September 23 -24, 1998.
