Wilbur-Ellis/H&H Engineering and Construction Facility
212 Industrial Drive
f
06/01/00 Date five soil borings (GP-1 through GP-5) were advanced onsite to
varying depths between 28 and 32 feet bgs. Soil samples were collected
from all five borings and groundwater samples were collected from GP-2
through GP-5.
10/16/00 Date of Additional Subsurface Assessment, Sensitive Receptor Survey, and
First Semi-annual 2000 Groundwater Sampling that discussed findings
from the advancement of five push probe borings (GP-1 through GP-5)
and provided additional information about sensitive receptors, including
the presence of an unlined canal within 500 feet of the source area.
03/1-3/05 Dates seven Geoprobe soil borings (SBA, SBB, SBC, SBD, SBE, SBF, }
and SBG) were advanced at this site.
05/23/05 Date of Additional Subsurface Investigation and Semi-annual
Groundwater Sampling Report that discussed findings from the
advancement of soil borings SBA; SBB, SBC, SBD, SBE, SBF, and SBG.
09/27/05 Date of Request for Case Closure. It was estimated that approximately
2,800 cubic yards of contaminated soil containing approximately six
pounds of benzene and 185 pounds of gasoline remain at the site; and
approximately 0.7 pounds of benzene and gasoline remain in the
groundwater.
04/04/06 Date of Environmental Health Department (EHD) letter that responded to
Request for Case Closure and directed that monitoring well MW-3 be
sampled quarterly instead of semi-annually because of increasing
concentrations for benzene found in this well.
06/22/06 Date of Human Health Risk Screening Evaluation — Vapor Intrusion from
Groundwater. This report concluded that vapor intrusion did not appear to
pose a threat at this site.
04/17/07 Date of First Quarter 2007 Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling
Report and Request for Case Closure.
05/16/07 Date EHD staff discussed the site with CVRWQCB staff for potential site f
closure concurrence.
07/03/07 Date EHD received verbal directive from CVRWQCB to submit
appropriate information to CVRWQCB for case closure consideration. 2
i
k
