(Ground Zero) on your behalf for the above-referenced site. In the work
plan, Ground Zero proposes to sound the three onsite .monitoring wells to total depth to
ensure there are no obstructions present. Then the well traffic boxes will be removed and the '
wells will be destroyed by over drilling the boreholes to total depth (using eight-inch or
larger augers). The boreholes will be backfilled to surface grade with neat cement grout
using a tremie pipe system.
EHD approves the work plan as submitted and will issue the well permit application for
destruction of monitoring wells MW1, MW2, and MW3 within the week. If you have any '
questions regarding this letter, please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-9852, or by
email at vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Victoria L.
