February 16, 1998 Project No 034-97252 <br />' UBOC No 97-1031 <br />' SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION <br /> FORMER UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK AREA <br />' H&H ENGINEERING PROPERTY <br /> 212 INDUSTRIAL DRIVE <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br />' 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />' The following report summarizes the findings of our subsurface investigation conducted within the <br /> 21�- <br /> former underground storage tank (UST) area at the H&H Engineering Property located at 121 Industrial <br /> Drive in Stockton, San Joaquin County, Calitorma Krazan & Associates, Inc (Krazan) conducted the <br /> investigation at the request of Mr Doug Reynolds in general accordance with Krazan's Proposal/Cost <br /> g <br /> Estimates Numbers PS97-243 and PS98-027, dated December 29, 1997 and January 27, 1998, <br /> respectively <br /> 1 <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> A Phase I Preliminary Hazardous Materials Site Assessment was prepared for the subject site by <br />' Telic Engineering Corporation, dated October 4, 1993 The Phase I Site Assessment indicates that a 1,000- <br /> gallon underground storage tank (UST) and related piping were removed from the subject site in 1987 <br />' Evidently, a soil sample was obtained from a depth of approximately seven feet below ground surface <br /> during UST removal operations Analytical testing of this sample detected minor concentrations of <br />' petroleum hydrocarbons (7 2 .parts per rrullion total petroleum hydrocarbons) It is reported that the <br /> removed UST dtd not show any signs if leakage, and excavated soils were replaced within the UST <br /> removal excavation following aeration activities (spreading and mixing soils on asphalt pavement surface) <br />' 123 Commerce Circle Sacramento,California 95815 (916) 564-2200 FAX(916) 564-2222 <br /> Of Serving the Western United States <br /> 3497252 RFP <br />
