The extent of soil <br /> and ground water contamination is to be investigated in an expeditious manner. <br /> Steps to solve the long-term disposal pro lem should be initiated as soon as <br /> possible. If a NPDES permit is to be requested, the process should be started <br /> now. <br /> In summary, we are requesting the following be done for. this site: <br /> 1. A revised soil characterization work plan addressing the issues expressed <br /> above is to be submitted to us and the SJLHD by 7 April 1989. <br /> 2. A .SRP is to be completed and submitted to us and the SJLHD for review and . _ <br /> -approval by 26-�°May-1-989-: -�&u l-`rer�e�i�i�t i� si�ou i� Abe i n i i aced`—no l ater <br /> than 30 June 1989. <br /> I <br /> 3. A complete and comprehensive PAR is to be submitted to us and the SJLHD <br /> within three weeks of receiving the laboratory results which indicate the <br /> ground water plume has been defined, but no later than 10 July 1989. <br /> 4. Monthly sampling of monitoring wells W-2, W-2a and W-2b is to be initiated <br /> immediately to characterize and docum4nt the vertical extent of the ground <br /> water plume. <br /> 5. Quarterly monitoring of all the well is to be continued. <br /> 6.
