Disposable items will be bagged for <br /> disposal along with other hazardous wastes removed from property. Sampling equipment <br /> will be decontaminated using laboratory-grade detergent, tap water, and deionized water. <br /> All heavy equipment will be steam cleaned prior to removal from the site. Therl are no <br /> special emergency decontamination procedures anticipated for this project. <br /> Emergency Procedures <br /> r . ! <br /> In the event of an emergency on site, the SISO will direct the course of action. It <br /> may be necessary for the SSO to depend on the other on-site personnel for assistance. The <br /> SSO will call for emergency assistance if needed As soon as practical, the SSO will <br /> contact the project manager and the health and safety officer. All staff assigned to this <br /> project will be briefed on the procedures and responsibilities for implementation. <br /> The SSO is trained in first aid and CPR. A first aid kit and fire extinguishez will be <br /> located in the BC support vehicle. The emergency shut-off switch for the drill rig will be <br /> identified, and all field personnel working in the area will be informed of its location and <br /> function during the site safety briefing.
