Results of Initial Investigation and Work Plan December 18, 1990 <br /> ARCO Service Station No. 2076, Lodi, California AGS 30008-2 <br /> We will conduct the following tasks: <br /> o Update the site safety plan. <br /> o Observe excavation of soil in and around the gasoline-tank cavity. <br /> o Colley" appropriate soil samples within 2 to 4 feet below the base of the <br /> former tanks to evaluate if hydrocarbonous soil remains in place. If field <br /> evidence indicates hydrocarbons remain in place, we will observe further <br /> excavation of the tank cavity before sampling the soil. <br /> 1A <br /> { <br /> 0.2 Observe additional excavation in the gasoline-tank cavity, until laboratory; <br /> results of soil samples collected from the base and sidewalls of the excavated <br /> a.—'a indicate soil containing greater than 10 pprn of TPHg and greater than <br /> 1.0 ppm of benzeneis removed. Excavation will continue until the safe <br /> operating limits of the equipment with respect to the surrounding structures <br /> are reached, Appropriate soil.samples be collected from the_base and <br /> sidewalls of the excavated area to evaluate if hydrocarbonous soil has been <br /> removed. <br /> o Observe excavation of soil in and around the proposed gasoline-tank cavity. <br /> 17.0 a Collect soil samples from the base of the proposed tank cavity to evaluate if <br /> ¢} soil with hydrocarbons if present was removed by excavation. <br /> } <br /> a Install a maximum of six conductor casings in either tank cavity to allow soil <br /> borings to be drilled between the new tanks at a later date.if soil contaWng <br /> greater than 10 ppm of TPHg and greater than 1.0 ppm benzene remains at <br /> . the bottom of either tank cavity after the safe operating limits of the <br /> equipment is reached. <br /> y T 0.
