'I his <br /> document describes our methods, results, and conclusions associated with the initial <br /> investigation and the proposed work associated with the removal of the underground storage <br /> tanks and possible excavation. The tank replacement project will not begin until this work <br /> plan is approved by the SJPHS. <br /> SrM BACKGROUND <br /> ARCO Service Station No.2076 is at 800 East Kettleman Lane in Lodi,California,as shown <br /> r one the Site Vicinity Map(Plate P=1). .According to information supplied by ARCO,there <br /> are five underground storage tanks presently at the site. One 10,000-gallon tank and one <br /> 6,00.0 gal <br /> tank are used to store unleaded gasoline, two 4,000-gallon tanks are used.to <br /> store leaded gasoline, and one.6,000-gallon tank is used to store super unleaded gasoline. <br /> The approximate locations of the tanks and present site features are shown on.the <br /> Generalized Site Plan (Plate P-2). <br /> REGIONAL GEOLOGY AND HYDROGEOIIOGY <br /> . The site is underlain by the Upper Member of the Modesto Formation,which is composed ' <br /> .m of alluviel sediments that range in siie from gravel to sand and silt (Wagner; et al., 1487). <br /> The Modesto Formation is of Pleistocene age and dips gently to the west. <br /> i <br /> yam_ The site is in the Eastern San Joaquin'County Ground-Water Basin(California Department <br /> a� <br /> or Water Resources,1480).
