Emcon Associates - xLTii <br /> 1433 North Market Boulevard • Sacramento CdRornio 95834-1943 • (916)928-3300 + Fax(916)928-3341 <br /> r r <br /> February 1 , 1995 <br /> Project 0801/ <br /> 805 14401 <br /> Mr Kyle Christie <br /> ARCO Products Company <br /> P O Box 5811 <br /> San Mateo, California 94402 <br /> Re Fourth Quarter 1994 Status Report for ARCO Service Station No 2076 at 800 East <br /> Kettleman Lane, Lodi, California <br /> Dear Mr Christie <br /> At the request of ARCO Products Company (ARCO), EMCON is conducting an environmental <br /> investigation at the subject site (see Figure 1) We have prepared this status report on the work <br /> conducted during the fourth quarter 1994 Work performed included subjective analyses of water <br /> samples from each monitoring well, measurement of thickness of floating product (if present) in the <br /> monitoring wells, measurement of groundwater elevations in each monitoring well, evaluation of the <br /> groundwater gradient, and collection and analysis of groundwater samples <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Work performed prior to this quarter included drilling 19 soil borings and installing 4 groundwater <br /> monitoring wells and 7 vapor extraction wells Residual hydrocarbons were analytically identified in <br /> sod samples collected from borings near the tank cavity and dispenser island <br /> RESNA Industries ([RESNA] formerly Applied GeoSystems) performed a vapor extraction test on <br /> July 30, 1991 (RESNA, September 12, 1991) In November 1991, RESNA observed the removal of <br /> five gasoline storage tanks and associated product lines and excavation of a new tank cavity(RESNA, <br /> June 26, 1992) ARCO's contractors installed new tanks in the tank cavity east of the station building <br /> in November 1991 <br /> ARCO initiated groundwater monitoring in October 1992 Results have indicated that dissolved <br /> hydrocarbons have not been detected in groundwater, with the exception of total xylene, which was <br /> 40 detected in well MW-3 at a concentration of 0 7 part per billion(ppb) during the fourth quarter 1993 <br /> SACJPJM0805108051440 IBM-94 PAS 3 <br />
