11 November 2004 <br /> • AGE-NC Project No 99-0624 <br /> Page 9of13 <br />' findings <br />' 4'4 MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION, DEVELOPMENT AND SURVEY <br /> The pilot borings will be completed as single-level ground water monitoring wells, screened from <br />' 45 to 65 feet bsg for the shallow zone well, SO to 90 feet bsg for deeper zone wells and 55 to 75 feet <br /> bsg for the extraction well Following installation, each well will be developed to maximize water <br /> flow and minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn Into the well during pumping or <br />' bailing, and the top of each existing and newly Installed well casing(well head)will be surveyed to <br /> determine Its elevation relative to mean sea level Procedures forwell Installation,development and <br /> survey are presented In Sections 5 4 and 5 5 <br /> 4 5 GROUND WATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS <br />' <br /> Following the Installation of the new monitoring wells, ground water monitoring and sampling <br /> g <br /> activities will be conducted for all the monitoring wells on a quarterly basis fora minimum of one <br /> year (four sampling events), monitoring activities will Include recording depth to ground water <br /> measurements and collection of ground water samples for laboratory analysis by a DHS-certified <br />' laboratory for the analytes noted in Section 4 3 Ground water sample collection protocols were <br /> described in the AGE prepared Preliminary Sate Assessment Work Plan dated 30 June 1999 <br /> I Laboratory reports for ground water analyses,testing methods,laboratory QA/QC reports and sample <br /> chain of custody documentation will be presented in quarterly reports with findings and <br /> recommendations <br /> I <br /> 46 GROUND WATER AQUIFER PUMPING TEST <br /> Following Installation of the extraction well, a 24-hour aquifer pumping test will be performed in <br /> Hydrogeologic Units I and 2 at the site to evaluate a general radius of influence and capture zone <br /> Iduring ground water extraction The proposed aquifer pumping test will be designed to obtain <br /> general aquifer characteristics such as hydraulic conductivity, storativity, transmissivity and draw- <br /> down at a constant pumping rate, in preparation for ground water remediation Procedures for the <br /> pumping test is-presented in Section 5 6 <br /> I <br /> Advanced CcoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
