11 November 2004
AGE-NC Project No 99-0624
' Page 8of13
' detailed in Sections 5 2 and 5 3 , respectively
Each probe boring will be advanced to depths of 15 feet bsg Soil gas samples will be collected from
' each probe boring Samples will be transmitted to a State-certified laboratory and analyzed for
volatile organic compounds
' 4 3 MONITORING AND REMEDIATION WELL INSTALLATION
' AGE proposes to advance five pilot soil borings at the site for installation of two ground water
monitoring wells screened in shallow water beating zones and three ground water monitoring wells
screened in a deep water bearing zone AGE proposes the installation of wells in the following areas
' • One, 4-inch diameter ground water extraction well located on the southern end of the
property and screened between 55 and 75 feet bsg,
One, 2-inch diameter ground water monitoring well located south of the site on Kettleman
Lane in the Cal Trans right away and screened between 45 and 65 feet bsg,
• Two, 2-inch diameter ground water monitoring wells located south of the site on Kettleman
Lane in the Cal Trans right away and screened between 80 and 90 feet bsg, and
' • One, 2-inch diameter ground water monitoring well located between 5 and 10 feet east of
monitoring well MW-3 and screened between 80 and 90 feet bsg
' The pilot soil borings will be advanced utilizing a truck-mounted, hollow-stem drill rig equipped
with 8 25-inch or 10-inch hollow-stem augers The total depth of each well boring may vary
' according to hydrogeologic/geologic conditions encountered during drilling
Soil samples will be collected from within the hollow-stem augers at five-foot intervals using a
' California split-spoon sampler and brass sleeves Selected soil samples will be analyzed by a State
of California DHS-certified laboratory for the following constituents
' TPH-g in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified,
• Volatile aromatic hydrocarbons BTEX in accordance with EPA Method 8260, and
' Oxygenated compounds DIPE,ETBE,MTBE,TAME,TBA,ethylene dibromide(EDB)and
1,2-Dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) in accordance with EPA Method 8260
' Laboratory reports for soil analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control
. (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented In a report of
' Advanced GeoEnvi ron mental,Inc
r
