30 June 1999 ,
AGE-NC Project No 99-0624
3 4 3 Monitoring Well Installation and Development
s
Following completion of monitoring well borings, two-inch diameter monitoring wells will be
installed in each of the borings Ground water monitoring wells will consist of 20 feet of well screen
section The well screen section will be installed across the observed water table level with five feet
of screen section extending above the water level and ten feet of screen section extending below the
water table level Based on ground water table level, it is anticipated that the total depth of the
monitoring wells will be approximately 60 feet bsg Wells will be completed as described in Section
44
Following well installation, the wells will be developed in order to maximize water flow into the
well and minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during purging activities
Field procedures for monitoring well installation and development are presented in Sections 4 4 and
4 5, respectively
Additionally, the elevation of ground water monitoring wells will be surveyed
. 3 4 4 Ground Water Sample Collection and Analysis
Following installation and development of the monitoring wells, one ground water monitoring and
sampling event will be conducted at the site Ground water samples will be collected from the
proposed monitoring wells and submitted for laboratory analysis Ground water samples will be
analyzed for TPH-g, BTEX and fuel oxygenating compounds following the protocols presented in
Section 3 3 Additionally, monitoring activities will include recording depth to ground water
measurements Ground water sample collection procedures are described in Section 4 6
35 REPORT PREPARATION
Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared
presenting the findings of the investigation The report will include a description of the work
performed and results of the sampling and analysis Conclusions and applicable recommendations
will be included in the report The report will be in a format acceptable to the PHS-EHD and
CVRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist
4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES
• All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California
Advanced GeoEmironmentaf,Inc
