• 30 June 1999 ' <br /> AGE-NC Project No 99-0624 <br /> Page S of 10 <br /> • BTEX by EPA Method 8020, and <br /> • Fuel oxygenating compounds including MTBE, DIPS, ETBE, TAME and TBA by EPA <br /> Method 8260 <br /> Laboratory reports for ground water analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality <br /> control (QA/QC)reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report <br /> with the findings and recommendations <br /> 3 4 MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION AND SAMPLING <br /> If the results of the initial soil and ground water assessment activities indicate significant petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon impact to ground water, three ground water monitoring wells will be installed at the <br /> site Prior to installation of ground water monitoring wells,proposed locations for monitoring wells <br /> will be submitted to the PHS-EHD for approval The proposed monitoring wells will provide <br /> repeatable sampling points for the monitoring of impact to ground water and allow determination <br /> of site-specific ground water flow direction The procedures for monitoring well installation and <br /> collection of soil samples are presented in Section 4 4 and Section 4 6, respectively Monitoring well <br /> installation activities are described below <br /> 3 4 1 Permitting and Pre-Field Work Activities <br /> Prior to monitoring well installation, any applicable well permits will be obtained from the PHS- <br /> EHD Prior to mobilization, each monitoring well location will be clearly marked and a utility <br /> clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert <br /> 3 4 2 Soil Sample Collection and Analysis <br /> During the drilling of the proposed monitoring well borings, soil samples will be collected at five- <br /> foot intervals from ground surface to the total depth of the borings Field procedures for the <br /> collection of soil samples are presented in Section 4 4 At least one soil sample from each monitoring <br /> well boring will be analyzed for TPH-g, BTEX and fuel oxygenating compounds following the <br /> protocols presented in Section 3 2 <br /> Laboratory reports for ground water analyses,testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality <br /> control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report <br /> with the Endings and recommendations <br /> Advanced GeoEmironmentsl,Inc <br /> r u <br />
