No.: 058324-2432 <br /> FROM: Jeffrey Cloud/eew/510-NF X DATE: May 9, 2014 <br /> CC: Steve Morden,Jesse Orth,Julie Lidstone <br /> RE: Analytical Results and Reduced Validation of Report J56810 <br /> Limited Phase II Subsurface Investigation <br /> Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR)—Port of Stockton Property Lease <br /> Stockton, California <br /> April 2014 <br /> 1.0 Introduction <br /> The following document details a reduced validation of analytical results for soil samples collected in support of the <br /> Limited Phase II Subsurface Investigation at the Port of Stockton Property Lease Site in Stockton, California during <br /> April 2014. Samples were submitted to TestAmerica, located in Pleasanton, California. A sample collection and <br /> analysis summary is presented in Table 1. A summary of the analytical methodology is presented in Table 2. The <br /> validated analytical results are summarized in Table 3. <br /> Standard Conestoga-Rovers &Associates (CRA) report deliverables were submitted by the laboratory. The final <br /> results and supporting quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) data were assessed. Evaluation of the data was <br /> based on information obtained from the chain of custody forms, finished report forms, method blank data, recovery <br /> data from surrogate spikes, laboratory control samples (LCS) and matrix spikes (MS). <br /> The QA/QC criteria by which these data have been assessed are outlined in the analytical methods referenced in <br /> Table 2 and applicable guidance from the documents entitled: <br /> i) "USEPA Contract Laboratory Program National Functional Guidelines for Superfund Organic Methods Data <br /> Review", USEPA 540-R-08-01,June 2008 <br /> ii) "USEPA Contract Laboratory Program National Functional Guidelines for Inorganic Superfund Data Review", <br /> USEPA 540-R-10-011,January 2010 <br /> These items will subsequently be referred to as the "Guidelines" in this Memorandum. <br /> 2.0 Sample Holding Time and Preservation <br /> The sample holding time criteria for the analyses are summarized in the methods. The sample chain of custody <br /> documents and analytical report were used to determine sample holding times.
