Field Wiring Requirements Installing Field Wiring and Conduit
AWARNING
This device is installed in equipment where potentially lethal voltages
may exist.
The following hazards exist:
1. Electrical shock resulting in serious injury or death may result if
power is on during installation and the device is improperly
installed.
2. Explosion, property loss, and/or equipment damage could occur
if conduits do not enter the TLS-350 or TLS-350R console through
their designated preformed knockouts.
Observe the following precautions:
1. Before installing this device, turn off power to the system,
including console and submersible pumps.
2. To protect yourself and others from being struck by vehicles,
block off your work area during installation or service.
Field Wiring Requirements
Refer to Figure 4 on page 14 as you install the field wiring.
Non-Bonded Metallic or PVC Conduit
At sites where non-bonded metallic or PVC conduit is used, use 2-conductor 18 AWG
shielded cable from the PLLD Interface Module in the monitor's intrinsically safe area
to the Line Leak Sensor.Veeder-Root recommends Carol'' C2534 or Belden' 88760.
Bonded Rigid Metal Conduit
At sites where bonded rigid metal conduit is used, the installation does not require
shielded cable.Wiring from the PLLD Interface Module to the Line Leak Sensor must
12 576013-902, Revision G
