In-Line PLLD Check Valve Installation
5. It is recommended that you install a shutoff valve between the PLLD pipe tee and
the product pipeline.
6. A dielectric union must be installed between the in-line PLLD check valve and
metal piping.A standard union may be used if the piping is fiberglass.
7. It is strongly recommended that a flexible piping element be used to complete the
connection to the product pipeline.
8. Seal all joints with a UL-classified nontoxic pipe sealant that meets all national,
state and local codes and that is suitable for the fuel involved.
9. Do not install piping exiting the PLLD check valve higher than the pump
discharge port. This configuration creates an area that can collect air.
SwiftCheck Valve Installation
(For Red Jacket, Tokheim, or Bennett Pumps)
The SwiftCheck Valve mounts directly into the mechanical line leak detector pump
port.It eliminates the need to break product lines for installation and service. It also
provides a means of precision testing the discharge o-ring and threaded discharge.
Since theSwiftCheckValve replaces the existing mechanical device,it is suitable in
applications where there is no sump.
576013-902,Revision G 21
