15 November 2011
AGE-NC Project No. 11-1999
A total of five grab ground water samples collected from borings B5, B8, B9, 1311, and B12
were analyzed for TPH-all and VOCs. TPH and VOCs were not detected above laboratory
reporting limits in the ground water samples analyzed.
No additional analytes were reported above laboratory detection limits in the soil and
ground water samples analyzed. Analytical results of the soil and ground water samples
are summarized in Tables 1 and 2, respectively. The laboratory report(CTEL Project Nos.
CT214-1111030 and CT214-1111031), quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC)
reports, and chain of custody forms are included in Appendix B.
4.0. CONCLUSIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the data collected from this investigation, AGE concludes:
• TPH in the carbon chain range C13-C24 were detected in one soil sample collected
from the site (B5-10); carbon chain C13-C24 represents diesel range compounds.
TPH were not detected above laboratory reporting limits in the remaining soil
samples analyzed from the site. Adsorbed TPH appears to be limited and isolated
to 10 feet bsg in the southwest corner of the site (135).
• Concentrations of LUFT metals detected in soil samples collected from borings B2,
B5, B8, and B9 are below Regional Water Quality Control Board's Environmental
Screening Levels(ESLs)and Environmental Protection Agency's California Human
Health Screening Levels(CHHSLs). Concentrations of LUFT metals detected in soil
samples collected from the site do not pose a risk to human health.
• TPH and VOCs were not detected above laboratory reporting limits in the ground
water samples analyzed.
Based on soil and ground water samples collected from the site, AGE recommends that
no further environmental investigation be performed at the site at this time.
5.0. LIMITATIONS
AGE's professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily
exercised by environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings
were based primarily upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory.
Evaluations of the geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the subject property for the
purpose of this investigation were made from a limited number of available data points(i.e.,
soil borings, soil sample and grab ground water samples) and subsurface conditions may
Advanced CcoEnvironmental,Inc.
