k%J KLEINFELDER <br /> 3.2 Monitoring Well Installation <br /> Two temporary ground water monitoring wells will be installed to assess <br /> the presence of selected chemical constituents in the ground water. A <br /> permit for the installation of the monitoring wells will be obtained from <br /> the San Joaquin County, and as required by law (California State Water <br /> Code 13750) , an "intent to install ground water monitoring wells <br /> notification" will be filed with the Department of Water Resources (DWR) . <br /> A temporary ground water monitoring well will be constructed at the <br /> locations indicated on Plate 2. The estimated monitoring well depths are <br /> 40 to 50-feet. <br /> Proposed construction details of the temporary ground water monitoring <br /> wells are as follows: <br /> o The well casing will be 2-inch inside-diameter, flush-threaded <br /> joint, schedule 40 PVC pipe. <br /> o The PVC pipe will be steam-cleaned prior to installation. <br /> o The wells will be constructed in 8-inch diameter boreholes. <br /> o Well screen section perforation will be 0.020-inch factory-cut <br /> slots. <br /> o The screened section will be set 5-feet above and 15-feet below <br /> the depth where ground water is first encountered. <br /> 45-88-01 8 <br />
