"OCA
GJ,N` o[sAr l^\ 31 Jan 05
All three tanks were manufactured by Central Valley Concrete. They are
manufactured with 3-1/2 in minimum concrete thickness over a steel rebar
mat. The tanks have been preappoved by San Joaquin County and the
structural drawings are on file with the EHD. The grease trap is a dual
compartment, 1200-gallon tank. The primary tank is a dual compartment
2000-gallon tank. The settling tank has had the baffle installed so that it
acts as a single compartment tank. The tops of the tanks are
approximately 6 ft below grade. The tanks are covered with 6" of concrete
over a 5/8" rebar mat. There are six cast iron manhole covers to allow
access to end of each tank.
Response to F.1.a.ii of WDR R5-2004-0034.
A detailed description of the dispersal area, including construction materials and
volume of wastewater that will be discharged with each dose.
Wastewater is pumped from the secondary settling tank to one of two
disposal systems: an 1,800 sq. ft. gravel-less leach bed area equipped
with 22 laterals protected by Infiltrator chambers, or two 40 ft. long leach
lines with 48-inch diameter, 16 ft. deep seepage pits at terminal ends. A
schematic of the system is presented on Attachment A and Attachment B.
The as built configuration is attached as Attachment F. Septic tank
effluent is pressure dosed to the leach field using a Dual Orenco Biotube
Pump Vault. The Biotube is equipped with a filter cartridge to prevent
discharge of solids to the leach field/seepage pits.
The dispersal area is equipped with a manual distribution valve to allow
switching flow to either of two sub-areas. The leach bed consists of a one-
inch inside diameter pipe installed in Infiltrator Chambers (gravel-less
trench system). Infiltrator Chambers are spaced six inches apart. The
leach bed occupies approximately 1,800 sq. ft. The 40 ft. long leach lines
are typical pipe and rock construction. Observation wells have been
installed in the distal ends of the disposal trenches.
The wastewater system preliminary design specified a dose of 56 gallons
per cycle. The system, based on 9 months of operational data, has been
dosing approximately 33 gallons per cycle.
SCHE NONE SPECIALTY FOODS , I NC .
18819 East Hwy 88 • P.O.
