SCA
31 Jan 05
l
Response to F.1.a.iii of WDR R5-2004-0034.
A description of the type and location of the flow meter that has been installed to meet
compliance with the Monitoring and Reporting.
The flowmeter is a 2" diameter Displacement Type Magnetic Drive Cold
Water Meter manufactured by Sensus Metering Systems Specification
Sheet Sensus Metering Systems. The model number is a Sensus SR 2".
Plates showing the location the flowmeter are included in Attachment G.
A specification sheet for the meter is attached in Appendix H
Response to F.1.a.iv of WDR R5-2004-0034.
A detailed description of the dispersal area vegetative cover.
The dispersal area has been landscaped to allow shallow rooted plants to
take up nitrogen. Plants have been selected to prevent intrusion of roots
into the infiltrators, leach lines, and seepage pits. The main vegetation is
a Kentucky bluegrass sod. Other shrubs, such as climbing roses, carpet
roses, pittosporum, and camellias are planted on the periphery of the
dispersal area. There is an existing black walnut tree that is located
approximately 13 feet South of the edge of the dispersal area. There is
an Asian pear tree planted at the Northeast edge of the dispersal area.
The trees will be pruned back to prevent excessive growth and root
formation. Periodic probing of the soil using a 3/8" rod will be used to
determine if expansion of tree root zones into dispersal area has
occurred.
Section 2 — Certification Of Construction Per Finding No. 6 of the referenced WDR.
The attachments will show that preliminary system design was by Chesney Consulting
(Attachment A) and contained in the Schenone/Chocoholics Preliminary Septic System
Nitrate Loading Study, Soil Suitability Study, Septic System Design - December 2002,
which is on file with the Board.
S C H ENON E SPECIALTY FOODS , INC .
18819 East Hwy 88 • P.O.
