3.7 Pre-Entry Briefings and Informational Materials <br /> The following training sessions and informational materials will be provided on-site: <br /> • Tailgate Safety Meetings - A tailgate safety meeting will be conducted at the beginning . <br /> of each workday or shift. The health and safety considerations for the day's activities will <br /> be discussed and the necessary protective equipment outlined. <br /> • Pre-Job Health and Safety Conference - The PM or SSHO will conduct a pre job health <br /> and safety conference before the start of actual work, including emergency procedures. <br /> When a new subcontractor begins work or when a major new task mobilizes, it is <br /> advisable to assemble the work parties to review the HSP and discuss the work plan <br /> • Site Health and Safety Plan - All workers at the site shall be informed of the contents of <br /> the HSP. Signing the daily tailgate meeting is an acknowledgment from the worker that <br /> he/she understands the HSP. <br /> 4.0 ILLNESS AND INJURY PREVENTION PROGRAM <br /> Tetra Tech Inc. is committed to the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of an <br /> effective Illness and Injury Prevention Program (IIPP) in compliance with the requirements of <br /> USACE EM-386-101 and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.236-13. An IIPP has <br /> been developed for the overall program with the USACE. The intent of this program is to ensure <br /> that all on-site personnel associated with this project have a safe and healthful work environment <br /> and the knowledge to properly and safely perform his or her work. <br /> In order to accomplish the objectives of the IIPP a "team" effort on the part of all project <br /> employees is needed. For the IIPP to succeed, it is essential that all personnel take an interest <br /> and participate actively in all phases of the program.
