Fiber Glass Systems SMITH FIBERCAST
STaH '""'" ''UEHA" TECHNICAL BULLETIN
...............................................................:
Market: Petroleum Marketing No: UL 019
Date: April 13, 2005
To: All Smith Fibercast UL Customers
Re: Sump Entry/Termination Fitting Access Port
The Smith Fibercast Sump Entry Termination Fitting contains a 1/" NPT access
port, which allows for monitoring of the secondary containment interstitial space
(Closed System per UL 971). The location of the access port is not critical when
used with vacuum monitoring systems.
Please note, however, that when this fitting is installed in a system that is
designed to drain fluid from the piping interstice to the sump (Open System per
UL 971), the access port should be located at the 6 o'clock position.
Best regards,
Jack Bales
