n
Di Salvo Trucking-WP
July 25,IM
Page-4-
J,
representative will fine-tune the system to insure madmurn groundwater extraction. The system
will be monitored thereafter twice each day by Condor.
F41 '
I
I
3.3 Groundwater Sampling
Following completion of pumping one pore volume (3,800-gallons), a groundwater
sample will be collected from MW 1. 'The well will be sampled in a manner consistent with
previous sampling as described in the Monitor Well I tallation Report. The groundwater sample
will be collected from the submersible pump dischar a tubing and retained in 40-m1 glass VOAs
fitted with Teflon-lined septums and one-liter glass t ottles. The sample will be labeled and
placed in a cooler chilled with Blue Ice and delivere J to a California certified laboratory under
chain-of-custody procedures within 24 hours of collection.
Pending results of the first sample, pumping may continue until 14 days has elapsed or
10,000-gallons of groundwater have been pumped. final groundwater sample will be collected
from MW 1 at the end of pumping. One trip blank v rill be carried in the cooler in which the
groundwater sample is placed. The trip blank will be returned, unopened, to the laboratory for
analyses. The water samples will be analyzed follo ng U.S. EPA and California approved
methods under strict quality assurance measures.
F The water contained in the on site storage vessel will be sampled if the laboratory
- analyses of the groundwater sample collected from NIW1 indicates no evidence of hydrocarbon
contamination at or above the reported laboratory detection limits. If no evidence of
Fhydrocarbon contamination is detected in the water ssample collected from the storage vessel,
the water will be discharged to the storm drain located on site. If hydrocarbon contamination is
Fdetected in the groundwater sample collected from IAW1 or the storage vessel, the results of
the analyses will be presented to the City of Stoickton Municipal Utilities Department for
approval to discharge the water to the treatment fa_ci 'ty.
F
4.0 LABORATORY ANALYSES
Fo, The water sample will be delivered to GeoAn alytical Laboratories, Inc., in Modesto,
California. The groundwater sample will be analyzec. for benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and
F, xylene (BTEX) by EPA Method 502 and for total extractable hydrocarbons, quantified as diesel,
F,
kerosene and motor oil (TEPH) by Method 3510/L FT. Table 1 lists the laboratory detection
limits for each of the above described' constituents.
F
t CONDOR
