The water samples from each well will be transferred from the bailer to
three 40-ml glass VOAs fitted with Teflon-lined septums and two (2) one liter glass bottles. The
samples will be labeled and placed in a cooler chilled wilh Blue Ice and delivered to a California
certified laboratory under chain-of-custody procedures within 24 hours of collection.
In accordance with field quality assurance and control procedures, a duplicate sample or
rinsate sample will be collected during.the groundwater sampling. In-addition, a trip blank will be
stored in the sample cooler during the field activities and analyzed, if warranted. Upon completion of
the fieldwork, the water samples will be delivered under pain-of-custody procedures to GeoAnalytical
Laboratories, Inc., in Modesto, California.
4.0 WELL COLLAR SURVEY .
Each monitor well will be surveyed by a land su veyor licensed in the State of California.
The survey will include vertical accuracy to the nearest .01 foot and horizontal accuracy to the
nearest 1.0 foot. A scaled map of the potentiometric su ace at the site will be prepared'using the
surveyed well collar elevations and depth to groundwater measurements.
5.0 LABORATORY ANALYSES
The water and soil samples collected for-analyses from the Di Salvo Trucking, facility will be "
rdelivered to GeoAnalytical Laboratories, Inc., in Modesto, California. The groundwater sample(s) will
be analyzed for benzene toluene ethyl benzene and xylene (BTEX) b EPA Method..602 and for
y s Y xY ) Y
total extractable hydrocarbons, quantified as diesel, kerosene and motor oil (TEPH) by Method
510/LUFT. The soil samples, if collected, will be analyzed for BTEX by EPA Method 8020, and for
TEPH by Method 3550/LUFT. Table 1 lists the laboratory detection limits for each of the above
:. described c n tituents. The trip blank will'be analyzed r BTEX constituents BTEX constituents are
detected i any of the groundwater samples.
f jd
CL
Alror CONDOR
