f
F1Subsurface Investigation, Well Installation, and Sample Analyses Results Page 6
Cintra Park Phase II Development,
Tract 2705, Tracy, California
F July 23, 1998 CTE Job No. 20-0445B
• The lateral and vertical extent of hydrocarbon-affected soil onsite has generally been assessed
and removed. Hydrocarbon-affected soil remaining onsite appears to be limited in extent.
Although four sidewall and bottom soil samples contained TPH-G concentrations, these
, concentrations were 2.0 mg/kg or less. Additionally, field analytical results are interpreted
to indicate hydrocarbon-affected soil at each of the detected locations is generally confined
to areas of approximately five horizontally and less than two feet vertically.
t . Groundwater, encountered at an approximate depth of eight fbg,has been slightly impacted
by the petroleum hydrocarbons. However, no free product was detected at any time in the
excavations.
4.0 SUMMARY OF RECENT ACTIVITIES
Recent activities at the site consisted of excavation of slit borings, collection and analyses of soil
samples, installation of groundwater monitoring wells, and collection and analyses of groundwater
samples. A San Joaquin County, Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division
(PHS/EHD) approved work plan dated December 8, 1997 guided the activities performed. A copy
of this workplan is provided in Appendix D. These activities will be summarized in the following
sections.
i
4.1 Soil Borings and Soil Sample Collection
F, Four soil borings(PMW-1, SB-1, PMW-3, and SB-3) were excavated on March 10-12, 1998, using
Fa Mobile Drill model B-61 hollow-stem auger; the maximum depth explored was approximately 295
F
C:ITEEL FILEs1CINTRA PARK\CENTRA7-13.DOC
1
