Lammers Road, Tracy, California
1.0 PROJECT IDENTIFICATION
In a January 18, 2001 letter the San Joaquin Environmental Health Department (SJEHD)
made the following recommendations:
1. Excavate the source material, and initiate quarterly groundwater monitoring. The
extent o f s oil c ontamination i s i invited t o t h a rea s urrounding t he f ormer gasoline
UST. Removing the impacted soil should rrinimize future ground water impacts of
site constituents.
2. Install a monitoring well immediately down adient of the former tank pit area. A
deep monitoring well may also be necessary to determine the vertical extent of the
groundwater contamination and to determine the vertical groundwater gradient.
Additional deep monitoring wells may also be needed to determine the deep
groundwater flow direction. All water sampl s should be analyzed for all oxygenates
and gasoline additives by EPA Method 8260E.
3. A sensitive receptor survey was submitted for this site, but did not provide the well
construction details (not required at the time) for the three domestic water supply
wells were identified as being the only sensitive receptors located within a 2000 foot
radius of the site. This information should be determined and provided to SJEHD.
The closest municipal well is approximately one mile from the site. The on-site water
supply well should also be included in t e quarterly monitoring and sampling.
program. E EE W E D
DEC 1 6 2002
ENVIRONMENT HEALTH
PERMIT/SERVICES
