Lammers Ro id, Tracy, California , c '0 44v
1.0 PROJECT IDENTIFICATION "
The following plan provides a scope of work th t will help determine if soil and/or
groundwater has been impacted by the farming ac ivites on the Pombo Ranch Property.
Specific areas of concern have been identified during a recent Environmental Assessment
for Bright Development, a prospective buyer of the subject property. We propose the use
of a Geo-Probe to obtain soil and ground water samples in the areas described below.
1.1 Site Description and History
A portion of the property at 24100 S. Lammers Road is occupied by a farming
facility, which includes residential dwelling , a barn, equipment sheds and shops.
Tractor storage, repairs, and fueling are conducted in this area which fronts 11°i
Street. Some pesticide and above ground tbel storage was apparent during the
recent inspection. Records indicate that the improvements to the parcel started in
1930. The undeveloped acreage is used for irrigated crops and/or pasture.
Two underground tanks were permitted for use at the 24100 S. Lammers Road
property and were removed before 1993. According to Earnest Pombo, since the
tanks were farm exempt they were remov d without the normally required soil
sampling. Several above ground tanks are In use at this site. The above ground
tanks are located together centrally in the shop and barn area. Historical
photographs show that one of the above ground tanks was located next to the
tractor shop.
A wash rack is located in front of the shop at the 24100 S. Lammers Road
property. It was not apparent that it is gill in use. The wash rack may be
plumbed to the septic system or a separate ]each field. Oil and petroleum
products have been dumped or spilled in this area and some spillage is apparent in
