Laboratory analysis of the three
soil samples was non-detect for gasoline, 11TEX, and MTBE.
The three wells were monitored, depth lo water measured, and water samples
collected for laboratory analysis on Jul 23, 1999. The analytical laboratory
reported non-detectable concentrations of gasoline, BTEX, and MTBE.
Laborator Soil Sample Results J ly 20, 1999
Sample I.D. Kloberdanz & Associates proposes to install two additional groundwater monitoring
wells in the direction of groundwater flow det rmined in the July 1999 groundwater
monitoring event. The wells will be installed adjacent to each other to depths of 20 and
60 feet respectively. The wells, as shown on me site map (figure 2), will be located
outside of the identified area of soil contamination. Soil samples will be collected for
lithologic description at 5-foot intervals and for 1 boratory analysis at depths 10, 20, 30,
40, 50 and 60 feet in the deep boring. The shallow well will be completed without
logging or sampling. All soil samples wi 1 be analyzed for Total Petroleum
Hydrocarbons (gasoline), BTX&E (Benzene, Toluene, Xylene, and Ethyl Benzene), and
MTBE by method 8021B. Any positive samples for MTBE will be analyzed for all the
Oxygenated Compounds by method 8260B.
The deep well will be screened from 60 to 55 feet in depth unless an alternative screen
interval is required by the lithologies encountered in the boring. The shallow well will be
screened from a 20 to 5 feet in depth to allow r groundwater level fluctuations. . All
wells will be surveyed by GPS within 1 meter of their location for elevation so that a
gradient can be determined.
Water samples will be collected from all. 5 wells and the onsite domestic well and
analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (gasoline), Oxygenated Compounds
5
