Surface topography in the vicinity of the Property is almost flat. Elevation of the Property is
approximately 15 feet above Mean Sea Level (MSL)according to the United States Geological Survey
(USGS) Union Island Quadrangle Topographic Map. Regionally, topography in the area of the
Property slopes very gently down to the northwest toward the Sacramento/San Joaquin River Delta.
The Property is located in the central portion of the Central Valley Geomorphic Province of California.
The Central Valley is a major river valley flanked on the east by the Sierra Nevada mountain range
and on the west by the Coast Ranges. Thick deposits of sedimentary rocks and sediments derived
from the nearby upland surfaces underlie the Central Valley. In the area of the site these sediments
are estimated to be 2,000-3,000 feet thick. Below these alluvial sediments are an estimated 10,000-
foot thick sequence of basement marine-derived sedimentary rocks known as the Great Valley
Sequence. The near surface sediments underlying the Property likely consist of a thick sequence of
very fine to coarse grained beds of sand separated by lesser finer grained and coarser grained
deposits (Bartow, 1990).
The Property is located in along the western area of the Central Valley Groundwater Basin. Part of
the San Joaquin River is located approximately 2.5 miles north from the Property.
