In a letter dated May 7, 2010 (attached), the SJCDEH mshucted our
client,Mr Zumberge,to conduct an off-site soil and groundwater Investigation(GWI),in accordance with AA&A's Groundwater
Investigation Work Plan,dated March 10,2010(attached).
This off-site groundwater Investigation includes:
• Drilling a total of eight off-site soil borings on two 4acentproperties(APN#21220004&21220005)
• Drilling&installing one off-site groundwater monitoring well(MW28).
PROPOSED GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION:
The proposed groundwater investigation will involve installing one groundwater monitoring well off site to the west of the
property in the direction of groundwater flow. The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate if the extent of hydrocarbon
impacts to groundwater in the down gradient direction, specifically MTBE.In order to sufficiently evaluate the extent of the
impact to groundwater in the down gradient direction and properly identify the most efficient location of the groundwater
well, several direct push soil borings will be advanced in the area of interest to a total depth of 20 feet bgs.Analytical results
of grab groundwater samples from soil borings will be used to map the plume in this area. Based on the extent of offsite
groundwater plume,a final well location will be determined.
4609 Russell Ave. • Los Angeles, Ca 90027 • Phone 323.913.4073 • Fax 323.667.2336
www.amiadini.com • mail@amiadini.com
