The pump was
cleaned with an Alconoxv solution prior to purging each well. Groundwater was monitored
. for temperature, pH, and electrical conductivity at regular intervals while purging. Samples
were collected after a minimum of three casing volumes had been removed and the
groundwater parameters had stabilized. Sampling of groundwater from each well was
performed using a new, disposable bailer.
The samples were delivered to Twining's analytical laboratory in Fresno, California on the
day of sampling. Chain of custody documentation and analytical laboratory reports are
attached.
The groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons-gasoline range
constituents(TPH-G)and total petroleum hydrocarbons-diesel range constituents(TPH-D)
using the gas chromatography/flame ionization detection method, and for benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) using United
States Environmental Protection Agency (U. S. EPA) method 5030/602. Current and
historic analytical results are summarized in Table 2.
