x� <br /> i <br /> REPORT <br /> SECOND PHASE SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION <br /> at <br /> City of Stockton <br /> Department of Housing and Economic Development <br /> ' Banner Island Property <br /> Stockton, California <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Bob Sivell of the City of Stockton, Department of Housing and Economic <br /> Development (The City), RESNA Industries (RESNA) conducted a Second Phase Subsurface <br /> Investigation at the above'referenced site. The objectives of this investigation were to: <br /> • Assess the extent of soils and groundwater that may have been impacted by past <br /> iY activities at the property; <br /> • Locate potential sources of any observed impacts; <br /> • • Evaluate regional groundwater quality in the Downtown Stockton area; <br /> • Determine the shallow groundwater flow direction and hydraulic gradient beneath <br /> the site; <br /> • Develop remedial alternatives or recommendations for further investigation, if <br /> necessary. <br /> The work performed during this phase of investigation included drilling seven vertical soil <br /> borings at the site and completing them as groundwater monitoring wells; collecting soil samples <br /> from the borings and groundwater samples from these new wells and two existing wells; <br /> laboratory analysis of soil and groundwater samples; monitoring depth to water in each wells; <br /> and preparing this report. Field tasks were performed in accordance with the site Quality <br /> Assurance/Quality Control Plan in Appendix A. <br /> . RO"992.&AY <br />
