SITE SAFETY PLAN
Raney Reference No.2896-001
I. SITE OVERVIEW
Site Name
California Cedar Products(Overflow Parking Lot)
Location
206 Garfield Street,Stockton CA
Tasks to be accomplished:
Task
Subsurface Investigation of Soils for volatile organic compounds(VOCs)
Start Date/Time: September 2006 Complete Date/Time: One day-anticipated
Site Description/History
The approximate 1.9-acre subject property is located within an established commercial and residential area and is
situated immediately easterly of Garfield Street and southerly of Washington Street in Stockton,San Joaquin
County,California. The San Joaquin County Assessor's Office identifies the property as APN 145-210-29.
Geological/Hydrogeological Characteristics
According to the 1987 USGS Stockton West Quadrangle, the subject property is situated at an approximate elevation of
10 feet above mean sea level. The maximum site relief appears to be less than two feet. Natural topography in the
immediate vicinity is generally flat and slopes gently to the west-southwest. Surface water generated on the property would
generally flow northerly and westerly toward the adjacent roadways (Washington and Garfield Streets, respectively).
Groundwater beneath the subject site is reported to generally flow in a south-southeasterly diretion;however, this trend can
be influenced by tidal fluctuations due to the proximity of the Stockton Deep Water Channel and Mormon Slough, which are
situated within 1,000 feet of the subject site. Seven on-site groundwater wells associated with a nearby contaminated site
(McCormick and Baxter Creosote)have indicated groundwater depths ranging from 12 to 20 feet beneath ground surfaces.
II.
