The Work Plan proposes four borings
adjacent to the rail spurs west of the tank room to collect soil gas samples at varying depths.
Dow proposes these samples to determine whether releases in this area pose a threat to
groundwater quality.
Regional Board staff concurs with the Work Plan. By 5 December 2003, please submit an
investigation report that details field activities and sampling results and include
recommendations based on sampling results. The investigation report should be prepared in
general accordance with the attached Items To Be Included In A Site Assessment Report.
