ACAMPO ROAD <br /> LODI, CALIFORNIA <br /> OUR PROJECT NUMBER: NA197008 <br /> Our office was contacted by Mr. John Vierra of NJA Architecture to conduct a Soil <br /> Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study (SS/NLS) for the property at 12080 E. Acampo Road, Lodi, <br /> California. The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree <br /> possible, San Joaquin County, Environmental Health Department (EHD) Soil Suitability Study <br /> Requirements Checklist, dated September 25, 2007, and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements <br /> Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> 1.1 Introduction and Development <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether site soils are suitable for <br /> septic system usage. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9- <br /> 1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet absorption rates as specified by EHD. A review <br /> of published soil information, geologic maps, and groundwater information was also performed. <br /> 1.1.1 Site Description <br /> The site consists of an approximately 16.41-acre tract of land located at 12080 E. Acampo Road, <br /> Lodi, California, San Joaquin County, California, Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 017-270-12. <br /> The northern portion of the site is improved with a grape vineyard and the southern portion of the <br /> site consists of vacant land covered with seasonal grasses. <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department website the site is <br /> zoned AG/40 General Agriculture which is intended to preserve agricultural lands for continued <br /> commercial agricultural activities. <br /> According to the United States Geological Survey(USGS) Lockeford California Quadrangle dated <br /> 1993. The elevation of the site is between approximately 90 to 100 feet above mean sea level <br /> with a topographic gradient generally sloping towards the west-southwest. <br /> Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 3 <br />
