GRANT LINE ROAD L PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Dear Mr. Myers: <br /> This is to notify your office that the City received a Field Investigation Report prepared <br /> by Treadwell & Rollo for the owner of the referenced property. The report findings <br /> indicated presence of jet fuel, gasoline and/or diesel fuel in the soil and groundwater <br /> beneath the referenced property and the report also suggest that these chemicals came <br /> from the Chevron pipeline located on Grant Line Road. <br /> Please be informed that an approved encroachment permit or a written permission from <br /> the City will be required prior to start of work or any remediation work by Chevron or its <br /> authorized agents, representatives, contractors, sub-contractors or employees <br /> (permittee) within City's right of way. The permittee will be responsible to pay for the cost <br /> of testing, inspection and construction of all improvements, whether private or public <br /> improvements, that will be disturbed or affected as a result of permittee's performing the <br /> work. The permittee will be required to indemnify and hold harmless the City from and <br /> against any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses including <br /> court costs and attorneys's fees, resulting from or arising out of the performance of the <br /> permittee's work. In addition to the City's submittal requirements for a complete <br /> encroachment permit application, the permittee shall provide a copy of written approvals <br /> from concerned agencies including the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Division and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. <br /> The City will provide you the submittal requirements for an encroachment permit upon <br /> receipt of a written request.
