(Delta) , to prepare
this work plan describing the proposed assessment of soils as a prelude to possible acquisition of the
property herein described . This undeveloped property is located at the intersection of Interstate 205
and Grant Line Road in Tracy , San Joaquin County , California .
1 . 1 Purpose
This soil assessment will be undertaken to:
Determine whether soils beneath the site contain hydrocarbon constituents .
Determine the vertical extent of petroleum constituents in soils if preliminary screening
with a photoionization detector ( PID) indicates the presence of petroleum constituents .
1 . 2 Scope of Work
To accomplish these objectives , the following tasks are proposed:
Advance six exploratory soil borings beneath the site .
• Collect soil samples at 5400t depth intervals for a minimum of 20 feet , unless ground
water is encountered above this level . Soil borings will be advanced and samples collected
until screening with a PID shows that organic vapors are not present in three consecutive
samples representing 15 feet of clean soils , or until ground water is encountered .
• Classify soils according to the Unified Soil Classification System ( USCS ) .
