Mr.Dean Hubbard-RWQCB
May 19, 2008
• Well Map ID No. 22 was recently sampled as part of the Tracy Pump Station Soil and
Groundwater Investigation(identified as DW-1 in the investigation). Results will be presented to
the RWQCB in the investigation report of findings, currently in preparation.
• Well Map ID No. 15 is northwest(up gradient) of the Catellus Property and is over 1,300 feet
away; sampling this well would not provide relevant information.
Please see Figure 5 from the work plan, which includes the additional boring for incorporation into the
scope of work. The additional boring will be labeled SB-66 to maintain sequence boring numbering. The
original locations of soil borings SB-66 through SB-69 are no longer on the figure. The boring revisions
have also been included in Table 2 from the work plan.
In accordance with the Chevron Technical Approach to Site Evaluation and Decision-Making(CTA),
should SAIC encounter affected soils in a boring, additional contingency step-out borings will be
advanced as part of the same field investigation effort to the extent allowed by current site access
agreements.
Please respond at your earliest convenience so the work plan can be adjusted accordingly,if necessary.
