(West Coast Tomato) for the <br /> aboveground storage tank (AGT) release at 2900 Harding Way in Stockton (Site;, c <br /> The Site is in a rural/commerciai area east of Stockton and is currently occupiea by a produce <br /> packaging facility- Western Tomato leased the Site from 1968 until it purchased the property <br /> in 1978. Texaco (now Chevron Gorporation) installed, supplied andlor serviced AGTs at the <br /> Site from 1972 until at least 1978, The Site consisted of four?00-gallon AGTs, two <br /> •2,000-gallon ALTs, and two dispensers. The type of fuel stored at the Site and the AGT { <br /> removai dates are unknown. In 1994, Western Tomato sold the Site to West Coast Tomato of 1 <br /> California who sold it to Chip Arnett/Chipa Properties in 2004. <br /> i <br /> 1 <br /> In March 2004, West Coast Tomato advanced four hand auger borings and drilled two soil <br /> borings in the area of-the formerAGTs_ One baring was advanceci-to-about 6o feet below <br /> ground surface (bgs), and West Coast Tomato noted hydrocarbon odors from seven to 60 feet <br /> logs. Soil samples contained total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPH9) and TPH as <br /> diesel (TPHd) at a maximum Concentration of 1,200 milligrams per kilogram (mgkg�and <br /> 7,500 mg/log, respectively. The 60-foot bgs soil sample contained TPHg and TPHd•at <br /> 240 mg/kg and 2,446 mg/kg, respectively. In addition, West Coast Tomato collected one grab <br /> groundwater sample, which contained TP <br /> p t-Ig and TPHd at 45,000 micrograms per liter(;Ig/L) <br /> and 56,000 pg/L. respectively- <br /> The Work Plan.proposes installing four monitoring wells to investigate.the lateral extent of soil <br /> and groundwater,contamination at the Site.
