Laboratory Chemical Analysis
A total of eight (8) soil samples were collected from the five (5) soil borings. Two (2) soil
samples were collected from each borehole except for boring B-2 due to drilling refusal. No
groundwater was encountered in any of the borings advanced.
All soil and samples collected were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH)as gasoline
(g), TPH as diesel (d), TPH as motor oil (mo), using Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Test Method 8015. In addition, five (5) soil samples were also analyzed for volatile organic
compounds (VOC's) including benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylenes (BTEX) methyl tert
Buytl ether (MTBE) and chlorinated solvents using (EPA) Test Method 8260. Sample analysis
was performed by McCampbell Analytical LLC, of Pittsburg, CA. The laboratory chemical
results are tabulated in Tables 1, 2 and 3, and the laboratory analytical report including the
Chain-of-Custody documentation is attached in Appendix A.
Table 1: Soil Sample Analytical Results
Date Samle ID g
p TPH- TPH-d TPH-mo B T E X Additional
VOC's
-------------m-/Kg----------
13-1-8' <1.0 <1.0 <5.0 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 ND
13-1-20' I.n 1.0 <5.0 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 ND
12-10-14
B-3-9' <1.0 <1.0 <5.0 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 ND
B-3-20' <1.0 1.7* <5.0 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 ND
B-4-10' <1.0 <I.0 <5.0 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 ND
B-4-20' <1.0 <1.0 <5.0 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 ND
13-5-12' <1.0 <1.0 <5.0 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 ND
13-5-20' <1.0 1.0 <5.0 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 <0.0050 ND
<1.0 = Less than the laboratory reporting limit.
ND =Non-detect
* = Diesel range compounds are significant;no recognizable pattern.
5
