Page 2 <br /> 4. LOCAL INTEREST AND PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT <br /> There has been very little local interest or public involvement in the closure activities for the <br /> Metalsa site. No inquiries have been made from the local community regarding this closure. <br /> The only local contacts for this closure and PEA activity have been the CUPA representatives. <br /> These include Raymond vonFlue and Stacy Rivera (209-468-3440) of the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department, and Robert Lopez (209-953-6200 of the San Joaquin County <br /> Office of Emergency Services. Robert Lopez has approved the closure of the site from a <br /> hazardous material storage basis. Stacy Rivera has referred her tiered permit closure to DTSC. <br /> There has been no community meetings, events or presentations related to the Metalsa closure. <br /> Furthermore, there has no media coverage of the closure.
