B St. #B, Stockton <br />Program: HW <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR -Notice to Comply) <br />Notice to Comply - Minor violations.- (7, 79, 83, 84) <br />7. Used absorbent is being disposed of without first making a hazardous waste determination. Any <br />person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop <br />recycling metal fines, make a hazardous waste determination for the spent absorbent materials, and <br />manage them according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting <br />documentation explaining how this waste was managed by September 12, 2011. <br />79. Used fluorescent bulbs were observed stored open and uncontainerized. Universal waste lamps <br />shall be contained in a closed container or package that is structurally sound, adequate to prevent <br />breakage, and compatible with the contents of the lamp. Immediately containerize all universal waste <br />fluorescent lamps/bulbs in accordance with Title 22 regulations. <br />83. Used fluorescent bulbs were observed unlabeled. A generator shall label or mark universal waste <br />with the words 'Universal Waste' and the type of waste (batteries, mercury containing equipment, bulbs, <br />electronic devices, CRTs, aerosol cans). Immediately label these wastes and ensure that all universal <br />wastes are labeled with the required information. <br />84. Facility was unable to shall accumulate universal waste for no longer than one year from the date the <br />waste was generated. Immediately dispose of this waste as universal waste and submit a copy of the <br />disposal record to the EHD by September 12, 2011. <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification to the EHD by September 12, <br />2011 along with a statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each <br />violation and any supporting paperwork. <br />**Facility generated 0.84 tons of hazardous waste in 2010. <br />Note: Discussed proper handling and management of metal fines. <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />THIS FACILITY I UBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />EHDInspect <br />Receiv By: <br />Title: <br />EHD 23-02-003 ev 07 2111 _� / CONTINUATION FORM <br />
