Ameron Dualoy° Pipe Monitoring System <br /> 2.0 DESCRIPTION OF THE AMERON SYSTEM <br /> The Ameron Interstitial Monitoring System for Double Wall Pipelines is similar to <br /> the methodology that has been applied to brine filled double wall tanks. A diagram of <br /> the system is shown in Figure 1. The reservoir in this system consists of a section of <br /> three-inch diameter pipe that is connected to the interstice of the double wall pipe. <br /> ,tib r <br /> Figure 1. Diagram of the Ameron Pipeline and Connections <br /> A dual sensor system monitors the liquid level in the interstitial reservoir and <br /> provides an alarm if the liquid level is either too high or too low. While the schematic <br /> shows a dual float system, the method can be used with any dual sensor system that <br /> will fit properly into the reservoir. These alarms can be used to shut down the turbine <br /> system or alert the operator that a potential problem exists.
