MIL-A-8243B <br /> i <br /> 6.2 Ordering data - Procurement documents should specify the <br /> following: <br /> (a) Title, number, and date of this specification. <br /> (b) Type and size of containers (see 5.1.1) . <br /> (c) Quantity. <br /> (d) Level of packaging and packing required (see <br /> 5.1 and 5.2) . <br /> ft 6.3 Precautionary handling instructions - The anti-icing <br /> and deicing-defrosting fluid furnished under this specification is mildly <br /> toxic and contact with skin and eyes should be avoided. Prolonged <br /> exposure to concentrations exceeding 1000 parts per million parts of air <br /> should also be avoided. Although the fluid has a minimum flash point <br /> requirement of 2150F, it should be used with care when applied around heaters <br /> or engine exhausts. <br /> 6.4 Unit of purchase - The fluid covered by this speci- <br /> fication should be purchased by volume, the unit being one U. S. Gallon, <br /> 231 cubic inches at 250C (770F) . <br /> 6.5 Changes from previous issue - The outside margins of <br /> this document have been marked "Pi" to indicate where changes (deletions, <br /> additions, etc.) from the previous issue have been made. This has been <br /> done as a convenience only and the Government assumes no liability what- <br /> soever for any inaccuracies in these notations.
