MIL-A-8243B <br /> 5.1.2 Level C - The anti-icing and deicing-defrosting <br /> fluid shall be packaged to afford the degree of protection <br /> necessary to prevent deterioration or damage during shipment under <br /> normal environmental conditions and commercial modes of transportation. <br /> 5.2 Packing. - Packing shall be level A, B, or C as <br /> specified (see 6.2) . <br /> 5.2.1 Levels A and B —Anti-icing fluid packaged in accord- <br /> ance with 5.1.1 shall require no overpacking. <br /> 5.2.2 Level C - Anti-icing fluid packagea in accordance <br /> with 5.1.2 shall be packed to afford protection against damage during <br /> direct shipment from the supply source to the first receiving activity <br /> for immediate use. Containers shall comply with Consolidated Freight <br /> Classification Rules or other common carrier regulations applicable to <br /> the mode of transportation. <br /> # 5.3 Markina - In addition to any special marking <br /> required by the contract or order, each container shall be marked in <br /> accordance with the requirements of MIL-STD-129 and shall include the <br /> precautionary marking as specified in 5.3.1. <br /> # 5.3.1 Precautionary markinX - Each container shall be marked <br /> with the following precautionary marking: <br /> DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. <br /> AVOID BREATHING VAPOR. <br /> AVOID CONTACT WITH EYES. <br /> KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE, SPARKS, AND <br /> POWERFUL OXIDIZING MATERIALS. <br /> STORE IN A COOL PLACE. <br /> KEEP CONTAINER CLOSED. <br /> 6. NOTES <br /> 6.1 Intended use - The anti-icing fluid covered by this <br /> specification is intended for use in removing frost and ice from the <br /> surface of parked aircraft and to prevent the formation of ice and frost <br /> on such surfaces. <br /> 9 <br />
