COAST GUARD MEMBERS and EMPLOYEES are NOT <br /> ELIGIBLE to bid on this sale: (a)A civilian employee of the Department of Defense or the United States Coast Guard <br /> whose duties include any functional or supervisory responsibility for or within the Defense Property Disposal Program. (b) <br /> A member of the Armed Forces of the United States, including the United States Coast Guard,whose duties include any <br /> functional or supervisory responsibility for or within the Defense Property Disposal Program. (c) An agent,employee,or <br /> immediate member of the household of personnel in(a)and(b)above. <br /> 2. FIRE, SAFETY AND SECURITY REGULATIONS. All bidders and their agents are advised that they are required to <br /> conform to all fire,safety and security regulations prescribed by any military installation when on such installation. <br /> 3. ANTITRUST. To comply with Section 207 of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949,as <br /> amended, when any item offered for sale has an acquisition cost of$3,000,000 or more,or when the property consists of <br /> patents, processes, techniques, or inventions, irrespective of cost, the successful bidder will be required to furnish <br /> additional information concerning his business and financial activities. Award will be made only upon advice from the <br /> Department of Justice that the proposed sale would not tend to create or maintain a situation inconsistent with the <br /> Antitrust Laws. <br /> 4. TIE-IN AND ALL-OR-NONE BIDS. Tie-in, all-or-none or combination bids are not acceptable and will be rejected as <br /> nonresponsive unless specifically authorized by the terms of the Invitation for Bids. <br /> 5. PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS. Bid prices must be stated in, and all deposits and payments must be made in U. S. <br /> currency or be payable in U. S. dollars to the Treasurer of the United States.All payments must be submitted directly to <br /> the Sales Office conducting the sale unless purchasers are instructed otherwise. <br /> 6. RECEIPTS. Receipts for payment are not furnished purchasers. Purchasers should wait three days after mailing <br /> payment before attempting removal of the property since property will not be released until the payment is received. <br /> 7. REFUNDS. Bid deposit instruments of unsuccessful bidders will be returned in kind,except that deposits in the form <br /> of cash,U.S.Government checks,or Western Union money orders will be refunded by U.S.Government check. <br /> 8. BID INFORMATION. A copy of the list of successful bidders will be mailed to all participants in the sale,and others <br /> upon request. Bidders will be permitted to examine the abstract of bids or sale resume at the Sales Office.Bid information <br /> will not be furnished by telephone,telegram,letter or other means until after awards have been made. <br /> 9. REMOVAL OF PROPERTY. Property will be released to the Purchaser or his authorized representative upon <br /> presentation of official notice of award,or written authorization from the Purchaser, to the Property Disposal Officer at <br /> the property location. Purchasers are responsible for making all necessary arrangements for the removal of their property. <br /> Whenever employing the services of another party to accomplish removal, Purchasers are advised to give their agent or <br /> carrier complete information regarding the removal,including weight,packing instructions,and date when the property <br /> must be removed. Purchasers should also maintain close contact with their agent or carrier to assure that removal is timely <br /> accomplished. <br />
