weeks to reach 100% strength before any heavy trucks are allowed to cross. Mr. Ground
suggested that if we wanted quicker access. it would be possible to pour a layer of sand
and set steel plating over the concrete after it has had two weeks to achieve 70%cured
strength. and get equipment on the property without requiring any encroachment permits.
Mr. Ground did not support jumping the curb to the north (at the original driveway
alignment detailed above) because of the thinner concrete (4")of the sidewalk. Rather.
he recommends using the curb-cut for the new driveway area. which will be thicker(6")
and be better able to accommodate the passage of heavy equipment.
Additionally, Mr. Ground was concerned about exiting truck tires tracking dirt and sand
off the site and wanted us to know that there are enforceable City ordinances in place
making this a violation if it should happen. He advised that we should consider an
improved construction entrance with dust removal systems to eliminate tracking onto
public right of way's.
Due to the complexities of working with contractors during the holiday season. and the
limited site access until after early February. we respectfully request an extension of time
in order to comply with Section 5.4.3 and subsequent action items of the Order. and
submit the required chemical ID & Disposal Plan. We are confident that we can comply
with a revised deadline of February 5. 2008.
Should our request for an extension of time be granted, it should not unreasonably affect
the timeline for completion of this project.
Respectfully.
yAEaEDN&902
GEO
AAMIgr
CAutO
David K.
