Box 173400
Denver, CO 80217-3400
INTERIM FREE PRODUCT RECOVERY PLAN, LEPRINO FOODS, SAN JOAQUIN
COUNTY
We have reviewed the 18 January 1995 Interim Free Product Recovery Plan for Leprino
Foods in Tracy. The plan proposes to install a 2-inch diameter free product extraction well
(MW-14) 90 feet north and 20 feet east of GP 11. Free product recovery rates will be tested
in wells MW-14, EW-1, and MW-3, and then a skimmer system will be installed in the
well with the highest recovery rate. As extraction well EW-1 was constructed with a 4-inch
diameter well,we recommend that MW-14 also be constructed as a 4-inch well to maximize
free product recovery. The location of well MW-14 is acceptable.
No time schedule for construction of the additional well and free product recovery field
testing was provided with the report. Please provide a time schedule for these activities by
3 February 1995. If you have any question,please call me at(916) 255-3121.
PATRICK MO S
WRC Engineer
cc: San Joaquin Public Health Services, Stockton
Mr. Roy Greengrass, Leprino Foods, Tracy
Mr. Bruce Hilton, Kleinfelder, Sacramento
