No changes were made to the well
locations noted on Plate 2. However, clarifications were necessary to two paragraphs. Page
8, Task H02, Paragraphs 1 and 2 should read as follows:
Task H02 -Drilling of Nine Soil Borings and Installation of Nine Monitoring Wells
Nine (9) soil borings will be advanced to a maximum depth of approximately 35 feet below
surface grade (bsg)to further define the site-specific groundwater gradient and to get an indication
of the possible presence and/or extent of contaminants in the groundwater. Each of the nine
borings would be placed in areas believed to be beyond the perimeter of the groundwater plume.
Three of the seven borings will be drilled off-site.
Two (2) of the on-site borings would be advanced in an area near GP-4. The purpose of the
borings would be to collect soil samples from near the center of the plume and for subsequent
construction of groundwater monitoring wells with short screen intervals for use in delineating the
vertical extent of diesel fuel in groundwater near the center of the plume. One of the wells would
have a total depth of 18 feet and would be screened from 8 to 18 feet below grade. The other
well would have a total well depth of 33 feet and would be screened from 28 to 33 feet below
grade.
Copyright 1994 Kleinfelder, Inc.
